A Frenchwoman apparently lost her life preparing a cake. As reported, among others, the news agency AFP and the local newspaper "Le Progrès", the woman was strangled by the device.
According to this, the 58-year-old wanted to bake a cake on Sunday morning with her 15-year-old son in the town of Saint-Étienne. Her scarf was caught in a kitchen utensil. The boy was still trying to help his mother: he dialed the distress call, and on the phone he was told to pull the plug and cut the scarf.
After their arrival, the task forces tried several times, according to "Le Progrès", to reanimate the woman - without success. The teenager is therefore the only witness of the fatal accident. Which type of kitchen appliance is involved is unclear.
