US rapper Lil Reese has been shot and seriously injured in his hometown of Chicago. According to his doctors, the condition of the 26-year-old musician with the civil name Tavares Taylor is critical.
The deed is said to have occurred on Monday at a crossroads in a suburb of Chicago, according to police. Alerted policemen found Lil Reese while he was already at a local hospital. From there, he was taken to another clinic.
In the program of the television broadcaster WGN-TV witnesses reported that the car of the rapper had been pursued by another car. At the intersection, the pursuer jumped out of his vehicle, opened the fire and then fled. So far, the police should have arrested no suspects.
Lil Reese has several criminal records. Among other things, a court sentenced him in 2010 for several burglaries to a two-year probation.
