At the start of the carnival season in Cologne, there have been several dangerous attacks on revelers. A stranger has a cable tie around the neck of a carnival from behind and pulled tight. A doctor in the medical tent freed the 22-year-old from the plastic band, as the police announced on Monday evening.
In their investigation into the afternoon's deed, a paramedic described to the detective that there had been a similar case in the early morning.
