The police in the state of Texas are investigating a substitute teacher who is said to have beaten a student. The woman is accused of serious injury.

The girl was hospitalized and suffered "serious injuries" according to her lawyer. The age of the student is different: according to the news agency AP, she is 15, CBS writes that she is 16 years old.
The 32-year-old was arrested and released on bail of $ 10,000. She has been working at the school since August and had 18 assignments as a substitute.
A spokesman for the school said he was horrified. There is absolutely no excuse for what can be seen in the video. The teacher was dismissed. Texas Governor Greg Abbott said such behavior would not be tolerated. The provincial school authorities will investigate the incident.
