During a search of apartments in Magdeburg police have secured ammunition and weapons parts. Several moving boxes filled with mines, grenades and other items were carried by specialists from the ordnance disposal service on Tuesday, a police spokesman said.
The weapons should therefore come mainly from the First and Second World War. More details about the weapons and their origins did not make the spokesman. A photo shows two employees of the ordnance disposal service carrying a Soviet air-to-air missile.
A special task force (SEK) supported the officers of the criminal investigation. The 33-year-old suspect had not been found in his apartment, the police said. But you know his whereabouts and will contact him.

Secured ammunition and weapon parts
The State Office of Criminal Investigation is now investigating whether the objects found are live ammunition, it said. It depends on whether there is a violation of the War Weapons Control Act. Because of such a suspicion, the apartment had been searched. Where did the police know that these weapons were there is unclear.
