This weekend, Lena Odenthal already solves her 70th case as a "crime scene" investigator. And while probably millions of viewers will see the TV thriller "Die Pfalz von oben", actress Ulrike Folkerts also watches - that's what she revealed on the talk show "3nach9".
"I'm watching this. I have to look at it," said Folkerts. "I have to on that day, that's something sensual, with the nation together at the same time at 8 pm already news and then watch this one and a half hours together." Obviously, a touch of esotericism also plays a role: "This is perceived energy," said Folkerts, "and if I am not there, that can not be good!"
But not only the Odenthal actress herself has a special "crime scene" ritual, but also her mother, who allegedly did not give a thriller with her daughter. "She always invites someone and makes a bottle of champagne," said Folkerts. The acting performance never comment on her mother: "She just feels her daughter."
The current Odenthal "crime scene"
"She's probably trying to understand where she knows me and where she does not know me and where she's worried about me," the actress said. "It's just a mother watching TV, this is not a spectator."
Folkerts had chatted about her private life only a few months ago in an interview. The actress, who has been with Katharina Schnitzler for more than a decade and a half, felt the time after her outing was very difficult. "That was like being thrown by a wave," she said.
"If you discover that you're gay, life turns upside down," said Folkerts. The 58-year-old has lived openly for more than 20 years. At the time, this was not as normal as it is today: "It was a huge show of strength to come out."

In 2008, Folkerts and Schnitzler had published a book. At that time, the actress said she regularly receives mail from strangers - "People who are emotionally afflicted are afraid of being rejected if they are open to their homosexuality."
