The Bonn main station was temporarily closed on Saturday evening because of a brawl. After a demonstration of right-wing extremists in Remagen, members of "right and left groups" at the station had clashed, a police spokesman said.
People had run across the track, it had come to turbulent scenes, it said. The police arrived with many forces. The station was closed for a short time. No one was injured, according to initial findings. The police determined the information, inter alia, because of serious breaches of the peace.
According to the police spokesman, a regional train staffed with numerous demonstrators arrived shortly after 18 clock at Bonn Central Station. Then suddenly about 20 people, who assigned the police to the right scene, as well as a hundred people, who are attributed to the left scene, went on each other.
In Remagen in Rhineland-Palatinate, hundreds of people had protested against a demonstration by right-wing extremists on Saturday. The deployment of right-wing extremists took about 130 people, according to police. A demonstration of left-wing groups involved 800 to 900 people.
