In Munich, a car driver raced at a traffic light into a group of young people and has fatally injured a 14-year-old. The man first fled from the scene of the accident, but was caught a little later, the police said.
The 34-year-old was on the run from the police shortly before midnight on Friday, driving on the wrong side of the road and disregarded several red lights. At an intersection, he rammed two 14- and 16-year-old teenagers who were crossing the street.
According to initial findings, the pedestrian lights have shown green, said a police spokesman. The injured were taken to a clinic where the 14-year-old died a little later.
The 34-year-old caused a second accident in his further escape in which a driver was slightly injured. As officials put the fugitive, he initially resisted. Because he too had suffered injuries, the man was taken to a hospital.
