West's appearance on Friday alone made quite a few visually, as a video released by the authorities shows: It can be seen in more than 200 men in orange prisoner garb facing the singer and his choir - all had blue clothes on.
West, who is married to Kim Kardashian and has several children, did not leave it at this appearance before men: After the concert, there was another gig in another part of the building of the prison - only in front of listeners.
The performances are reminiscent of comparable appearances by Johnny Cash, the authorities said: The singer had given in the late sixties also prison concerts and thus aroused great attention. Above all, the appearance at Folsom Prison became a worldwide success in 1968 (read more about this here).
Kanye West is increasingly looking for the public: In August, he graced the cover of the "Forbes" magazine - and later showed upset because the magazine did not want to lead him officially as a billionaire. West also announced that he would run for president in 2024.
