A 34-year-old rammed with his car in Munich on the run from the police two teenagers - a teenager died a little later in the hospital. Now warrants have been issued against the driver.



After the deadly Raser accident in Munich has been issued against a 34-year-old arrest warrant for murder. This was reported by a police spokesman.

The 34-year-old from the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen had noticed a police patrol on Friday evening, when he turned around illegally. When the officers wanted to control him, he fled so fast that the crew lost him and called reinforcements.

The man is said to have raced away on the wrong side of the road and ignored several red lights. At an intersection, he rammed two 14- and 16-year-old adolescents, who were crossing a street together with other teenagers. According to first findings, the pedestrian lights have shown green. The two injured were taken to the hospital where the 14-year-old died.

According to the police, the accident driver initially fled and caused a second accident in which a car driver was slightly injured. A little later, the 34-year-old had been caught, he had initially resisted.

The arrest warrant - including for murder, triple attempted murder and unauthorized removal from the scene of the accident - had been issued on Saturday evening, said the police spokesman. The accident driver, who was injured himself, is according to the information still in the hospital. Whether he was drunk or under the influence of drugs at the wheel was still unclear, it said at noon.
