In Berlin, men armed with wooden clubs stormed a hotel and instigated a mass brawl. On Saturday morning, the attackers had smashed the entrance window and forcibly gained access to the hotel in the district of Spandau, the police said.
Thereupon broke out in the foyer a violent confrontation with 18 participants, as it is called in the opinion of the investigators. At least six people were injured, including employees of the hotel. Several people came to the hospital for treatment.
What was the conflict about?
The police temporarily arrested a 17-year-old who was said to have participated in the brawl and had a knife with him. He was freed after a recognition service treatment. A pregnant woman, the suspect's 37-year-old mother, had to be treated with a shock in a hospital.
