Dozens of Christmas trees have disappeared without a trace: In Gelsenkirchen thieves have made rather unusual prey. The damage amounts to more than 1000 euros.
The police reported that the unknown culprits stole more than 80 fir trees from a local community advertising community between Saturday night and Sunday morning. The trees were therefore stored in front of an empty department store in the district of Buer.
How the criminals carried away the stolen goods, according to police is unclear. The officials asked possible witnesses for clues.
