Once again, a case of sexual abuse of children in a Berlin sports club has become known. Policemen arrested a judo coach who allegedly committed at least six boys between 2006 and 2018, prosecutors said.
The victims were therefore between ten and 16 years old. It concerns 23 hitherto known cases, which are said to have occurred in the course of judo training.
The suspect, who had already been arrested on Monday, was chairman of a judo club according to the prosecution and also worked as a coach. He is in custody. The Kriminalpolizei called possible further victims, to announce itself with the land criminal investigation.
Only ten days ago, the prosecution had informed that a youth guard in a fishing club in the west of Berlin is in custody. The man is believed to have sexually abused at least four boys between the ages of eight and eleven over the past three years. The prosecution spoke of more than 136 cases known.
