Forgotten fates: In the post-war period, children in the Federal Republic were systematically sent to health resorts for usually six weeks. There they were to be nursed, with a "special love" (admission from a children's home on Norderney, 1961). In reality, however, many children in the holiday homes were mentally and physically abused. Now the former victims meet for a first nationwide congress.
