The basic idea of a drunken driver in Duisburg was not wrong: leave the car and walk. Illegal was the crazy idea anyway. For one thing, the 59-year-old had already driven her vehicle and secondly, she did not park her car in a parking lot, but in the middle of a road.
What happened? Her way led the woman in her jeep on Saturday evening through a bottleneck in the goods road. But they also wanted to pass another road user. Because the 59-year-old did not want to give the man the right of way, the two faced each other for a while with their vehicles. Until the car driver finally gave up unnerved, got out and pulled away. The man called the police.
The patrol searched and found the disappeared woman in her apartment. While questioning the 59-year-old, officials suspected that alcohol might be involved. A blood alcohol test conducted at the station revealed: 1.14 per mille, driving license withdrawal and a charge of drunk driving. In the future, the lady will be even more often on foot.
