Five months after his arrest, a YouTuber from Berlin has to answer to the district court. He is said to have lured three underage girls into a trap and sexually abused them.
The competent juvenile court closed the public before reading the indictment. It is about protecting the privacy of the juvenile victims, the court said. The 25-year-old man is accused of sexual coercion, rape, sexual abuse of children, deprivation of liberty and assault.
The accused is said to have lured three then 13, 14 and 16-year-old girls under the pretext of wanting to make a video for one of his social media channels in his car. According to investigations, he drove with them to remote parking lots in Schleswig-Holstein and North Rhine-Westphalia.
Previously, he had prepared the respective car with a mattress. In the vehicle it came to attacks. Five cases in the period from February to June 2019, the 25-year-olds are accused.
The defendant has been in custody since mid-August
The defendant was arrested in June 2019. He was released about a month later, on condition that he kept away from social media. However, because he infringed the requirement, the order for detention had been lifted, the court said. Since mid-August, the man is back in custody.
Before his first detention, the man allegedly described the accusations as false. He told the investigators no information, it said at the edge of the process. At the beginning of the trial behind closed doors, he made a statement about his defense lawyer.
Nothing is known about the content yet. One of the victims was questioned on the first day of the trial as a witness. For the trial, seven more days are planned until December 20. The verdict will be public, the court said.
