Royal amused: Camila Cabello admits to have robbed the royals

During a visit to the Kensington Palace, the singer Camila Cabello was carried away to a test of courage. Now she publicly regretted her misstep.

With troubled relatives like Prince Andrew, who is currently trying to parody his controversial relationship with the late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein, the Royals are having little to laugh about.

Now Havana-born US singer Camila Cabello has made a sympathetic confession for some distraction. On Tuesday she revealed during an interview with BBC Radio 1 that she had something to do with a visit to Kensington Palace in October.

Accordingly, on October 22, the musician accompanied by her mother and DJ Greg James visited the palace to honor the winners of the BBC Radio Teen Heroes Award with Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge. James almost forced her to steal a pencil, joked Cabello.

She had taken on the "test of courage" and let the writing instrument disappear in her mother's handbag. "No, we have to give back," she demanded. But it was too late. To make matters worse, the DJ also called a palace employee: "She stole a pen!"

Apparently, Cabello did not have the guts to make it public at the moment. This brought them now public appeal: "I'm sorry, William, and I'm sorry, Kate," said the pop star on the radio.

Shortly thereafter, the BBC station canceled a tweet with the confession. About an hour later, the Kensington Palace reacted discreetly and humorously with a two-eyed smiley - an emoji that could mean both "I've watched you" and "I'm saying nothing."
