Ten Stammtisch brothers share the highest ever Eurojackpot prize in Bavaria of 30 million euros. That was announced by Lotto Bayern in Munich.
The € 30 million is one third of the grand prize in Friday's payout. The remaining 60 million euros went to Hesse and Hungary.
The ten Stammtisch brothers from Upper Franconia are reportedly between 49 and 58 years old, have jobs as workers, employees or are self-employed. Most are married.
"At 30 million, there are three million for each of us, which is incredible," quoted Lotto Bayern the spokesman for the group. Together with their families, they now want to consider what they are doing with the money.
The winning numbers were 3, 12, 24, 37, 38, the two Euro numbers 3 and 7. Last, the jackpot was distributed on September 20 and then remained eight draws in a row untouched.
That's why he had reached his statutory maximum of 90 million. The maximum sum has already been distributed for the third time this year.
Bavarian lotto record profit is 33.3 million euros
To crack the Euro Jackpot, the cross must be set correctly on the slip in seven places. 5 out of 50 as well as 2 out of 10 numbers have to be typed. If this succeeds several players, the prize money is shared.
Players and syndicates from 18 European countries participate in the Euro Jackpot. The chance for the main prize is 1 to 95 million. The chances are even lower at the classic lottery on Wednesday and Saturday ("6 out of 49"). Here is the prospect of the jackpot at only 1 to 140 million.
The highest ever lottery win in Bavaria was in September 2015 with 33.3 million euros in the Saturday lottery "6 out of 49" to three craftsmen from Middle Franconia gone. The second highest jackpot also went to a 48-year-old from Upper Bavaria in "6 out of 49" in 2009 - he had won 31.7 million euros.
