Last Saturday Ibrahim Miri was first deported to Lebanon - shortly thereafter he was already gone. According to SPIEGEL information, Miri temporarily left Lebanon for Turkey on Wednesday.
The 46-year-old flew with a Lebanese pass from Beirut to Istanbul. Once there, however, the Turkish police refused to allow him entry. According to SPIEGEL information, the ex-boss of the rocker group "Mongols MC Bremen" have resisted when he was to fly back to Beirut. Only in the second attempt should it be possible to send him back to Lebanon. Finally, on the night of Thursday, Miri landed again in Beirut for the third time in a few months.

The case of underworld size returned after being deported in summer had outraged the public in Germany (read more about the case here). Miri, who was illegally in the country for more than thirty years and committed numerous crimes, was sent back to Germany despite an imposed entry ban. At the end of October he reappeared in Bremen and filed a second asylum application.
At his hearing, Miri stated that he was afraid of his safety in Lebanon. The Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (Bamf) rejected the application as manifestly unfounded. The fact that the intensive offender in Lebanon threatened because of an alleged family feud danger to life and limb, the authorities did not believe him.
Interior Minister Horst Seehofer (CSU) had declared the case a top priority and described it as a "litmus test for defensive democracy". Following court decisions, the clan chief, who was officially registered as stateless in Germany, was taken out of the country again at record speed. Behind the scenes, German authorities had called for a smooth cooperation with the Lebanese border authority.
