In the Heidekreis in Lower Saxony, the SEK has overpowered an armed man who had entrenched himself in an arcade in an industrial park on the A7. The 29-year-old was arrested unharmed, according to a police spokesman.
According to the police, the man from the Heathen had entered the arcade with an ax and a dog. The man's body contained containers of protruding cables. Police dethroners later discovered that it was a bomb dummy.
With the ax, the man had hit the slot machines. At the time, four people were staying there. Three fled, the fourth person hid in an adjoining room - and then also uninjured released. At first it was said that the man had devastated a shop in the village.
During the SEK mission, the perpetrator's dog was shot. The police officer was arrested and taken to a psychiatric ward in a hospital. According to the current status of the investigation, a political or religious motivation could be excluded, it was said. Several criminal cases have been initiated.
