The city of Ashkelon does not often star in the culinary news section, and now it has an injury with a new place, and for us personally it's quite exciting. 320 and Something is a cool new young restaurant that opened about a month ago on a sparse beach in town. Right next to it is the Bar Archie, whose partners are also behind the opening of the new restaurant - Eli Gutman, Rami Elmalih and Yogev Zagori. The three, residents of the city, felt that the Italian supply in the city was lacking and decided to pick up a place to offer a modern and young Italian experience. For 320 and something, they brought a special tabun from Spain, and built a kosher menu that offers pizzas, pastas, fine fish and lots of alcohol.

The menu that Zagori trusts, starts with dishes of vegetables, cheese and fine fish, with options like roasted ricotta with confit garlic, honey and walnuts (NIS 42); Red tuna tartar in pickled beetroot with colourby, cucumber and pistachios (NIS 58); Borata with colorful cherry tomatoes and arugula (NIS 52) or a Sicilian potato salad with capers, Kalamata olives, anchovies and feta cheese (NIS 46).

From the special rotating tabun, and at a temperature of 450 degrees, pizzas all come out of handmade dough, with options like beet pizza with mozzarella and blue cheese (NIS 52); Seafood pizza with tomatoes and hot pepper, herbs and yogurt (NIS 67) and more, and loads of toppings so you can make the pizza you love, like zucchini, asparagus, truffles, spinach, squash and more.

The menu continues with a respectable list of pastas, also handmade, and with options such as cachio a papa, butter spaghetti, black pepper and pecorino (NIS 52), or dried tomato ravioli with ricotta and walnuts, white wine and yellow cherry tomato cream ( 59 shekels).

The menu does not end there and also offers some Italian podium desserts such as a jar of tiramisu (NIS 36), a red fruit pancetta (NIS 32), and there is also focaccia nutella (NIS 46) and crackers for addicts (NIS 36). The alcohol menu is huge, and offers all kinds of Negroni, as befits a self-respecting Italian restaurant, as well as a few types of martini-based sprouts. Cocktail enthusiasts have quite a few options, such as a Beefeater and Ozu cocktail with celery, apples and cucumber (NIS 45) or "Vanilla Smoothie" based on Hazelnut, Chloe, Baylis and Vanilla ice cream (NIS 44).

320 and something is the geometric sum of the partner names. The space of the restaurant is large, and of course there is a balcony where you can watch the sunsets of Ashkelon, and inside the kitchen is open and offers a glimpse of the dishes and staff work, all in a family atmosphere of a cheerful beach restaurant.
