A jet engine from Los Angeles to Manila caught fire on takeoff • Fortunately, the pilot managed to land it safely
A Philippine Airlines plane caught fire as it took off from Los Angeles International Airport. On various records, the engine appeared to be spreading flames in the sky, and fortunately the plane managed to turn around and land safely back at the airport.

People who witnessed the shocking spectacle in the sky documented the plane and uploaded it to the social network. In one video, it was a Delta flight, while another witness claimed it was an American Airlines plane. An American spokesman claimed it was not one of the airline's flights. A Delta spokesman also denied it was a Delta plane.

Finally, it was discovered that it was a Philippine Airlines flight 113 that took off from LAX airport at 11:38 a.m., toward Manila, the capital of the Philippines. He reportedly landed in the field 20 minutes later, after the pilot declared an emergency call due to a malfunction of the right engine.
It is not yet clear what ignited the flames in the plane and the malfunction is under investigation.
