He has played in the "Galis", "Eilat" and "True Hero" youth series, participated in festivals, scooped the Ofir Award for Best Actor for his role in the 2018 "Noble Wild" movie, and now Neve Tzur (26) is coming to the theater.

This will happen as part of the "Here and Now" festival, which will be held at the Cameri Theater on December 22-17, and will be dedicated to original Israeli art. During the festival, six staged readings of Israeli plays will be staged, as well as staged Israeli plays.

Create a play in a staged reading of the play "Mind Control" (19, Chamber 4) by Tomer Rosenman and directed by Hadar Galron. Other participants: David Shaul, Yigal Sachs, Amit Rice, Gal Chepsky, Hadar Galron and Dar Rosenbaum. The plot is about 18-year-old Azriel (David Saul) who does not align with the expectations of the Rishon Lezion crocheted dome community. He longs to publish his poems and joins a group of Tel Aviv poets. When he is informed of the prestigious Or Etzion Yeshiva, where his grandfather and father studied, he decides to secretly combine the two worlds.

Tzur embodies the image of Yaron, Azriel's best friend. "Every Saturday night, they sit in the public garden in Rishon Lezion, nuclear bombers and wait for a girl to move in," Tzur says. "Yaron is like everyone else. Ready for his life to be furry, ordinary, with family and children. He lived a completely religious life, was in the process of being drafted, and a little alive through Azriel and his stories. "

According to Tzur, "This is my first time in repertory theater, which is really exciting." I am a little apprehensive somewhere, but it is a positive concern that requires me to do it really well, to learn from all the colleagues around how it happens in theater. Unlike cinema, where everything is supposed to be smaller and focused on the boundaries of the screen, here's something alive on stage. "

Tzur, who has been playing since the age of 17, did not follow the school curriculum. "I did the preparatory work at Yoram Levinstein's acting studio, but I left it in the middle," he says. "I am less of a type of learning framework and more of a learner while doing it. I think the course of a game school is not suitable for everyone."

What brought you to the world of theater?

"So far my focus has been less in theater and more in series and movies. I've had a few auditions for theater, but it wasn't that stamp. This time Hadar Galron contacted me about this project, and it fit. I come from a religious home, my family in religious Safed, and that's something that is coming "I'm a believer but not a religious person. It's also a funny role and I think it would be fun to play it, so it's a good time to go to the theater."

Although it is just a staged reading right now.

"True, but the ambition is that after the festival, the play will be a full production. That's what we're here for."

He is currently starring in the "True Hero" youth series, which was created by Uri Gross, but what mainly concerns him is the music. "I'm working on my music, I'm a rapper," he says. "I released an album two years ago and now I'm producing the music for myself and working on a second album.

You won the Ophir Award for your role in the film "Noble Wild."

"It's amazing but it's also scary because it creates expectations. I try not to think about it. Don't do things thinking that the next job must be amazing. I believe you just have to keep doing it. All the time. Filming for a big project you can't talk about yet, and I'm also writing for TV and film. Everything is still in its early stages. "
