Justin Bieber is against racism. He also expresses his own mistakes.

"Stand against racism" - this slogan is emblazoned in an Instagram post by Justin Bieber. The singer has not only published him as a general statement, but also refers to own mistakes in the past.

When he was young, he had said really hurtful things and knew nothing about the force of his words, wrote Bieber. "I was uneducated." The 25-year-old, however, did not comment on which statements he specifically referred.

When I was young I was uneducated and found myself saying I really hurt things not knowing the power of my words. Racism Is Still Very Prevalent And I Want To Use My Voice To Remember.

Previously, Bieber had announced on Instagram to use this Christmas season to work on his weaknesses - "for myself and those I love," he wrote.

In 2014, a video was leaked to the public, in which Bieber told a racist joke. The clip was already five years old then. The singer apologized: "I was a kid and I did not know how much such words hurt you," he said after the video became public.

Racism is still very common, Bieber wrote. "I want to use my voice to remind that we are all human and all equal to God!"
