In India, five men allegedly lit a suspected rape victim on their way to the court. Among the suspects were also two of their alleged rapists, as reported among others "India Today" and the BBC, citing the police. According to Reuters, only one attacker was one of her alleged rapists.
According to the police, the young woman wanted to catch a train in the Unna district in the morning to attend a hearing when she was showered with gasoline and set on fire. The woman had filed a rape case in March. Accordingly, she was raped in December 2018. The alleged perpetrators were initially in custody, but later released on bail.
