Only with an inclusive and international dialogue can the crisis be resolved". Russian Foreign Minister Serghiei Lavrov said this in an interview with MedDialogues. "We welcome the initiative of Merkel who organized the Berlin conference to continue that of Paris and Palermo," he said. Although - he added - "the Berlin conference surprised us because the Libyan parties and neighboring countries were not invited, so in this sense it was a missed opportunity. I hope that in the future there will be progress on a more inclusive approach".
"We are one of the few countries that supports the relationship with all the players on the Libyan political scene. In this direction we try to stimulate dialogue", emphasized Lavrov.
