He is said to have strangled his wife, hiding in a suitcase and finally buried in a forest: A 28-year-old from Duisburg is accused of manslaughter. His partner was missing for months.

After a body finding in Duisburg, a 28-year-old confessed to having killed his wife after a quarrel. The man is accused of manslaughter, he should be presented to a magistrate.

The police had found the body of the 26-year-olds in a forest on Thursday evening. The mother of a five-year-old son had disappeared since the beginning of September. The investigators examined by their own information now a garage, which the husband had rented shortly after the disappearance of the woman. Among other things, they found their clothes and their ID.

A data carrier Beagle then found the cell phone of the missing. A corpse tinder had struck in the garage. Therefore, the investigators knew a message, "that in this garage, at least temporarily, a corpse was stored."

The husband then confessed during the interrogation that he had already killed his wife on September 7, the day she disappeared, after a row in the apartment and the body was first packed in a suitcase. He first put this in his car. Days later he rented the garage and hid the body there. One week later, he took his wife's body to the Untermeiderich district, where he buried the body "in a hard-to-reach forest area," the prosecutor said.

International search for the missing

"At the place described the investigators of the homicide with the support of the fire brigade on Thursday night at 20 clock the corpse," said the authorities. The body was autopsied on Friday. The result, according to the investigators, coincided with the information given by the husband. He had strangled the woman by his own admission.

The police had been looking for her since 21 October with a photo publicly and throughout Europe. The statement said that her husband last saw her on the evening of 7 September. He told him to want to stay overnight with a friend. "Investigations showed that this friend has not been living in Germany for a long time," it said at the time by the police. Reporters of the "Bild" newspaper visited the husband at that time. He said to the newspaper: "I hope she's fine and she'll get in touch soon, just because of our son!"

Nevertheless, the man was increasingly "in the focus of the investigation," the investigators said. The public prosecutor's office therefore provided court-ordered search warrants for the apartment and garage.

Because of the five-year-old son, the police, according to a spokesman in contact with the youth welfare office, to find a solution to his housing.
