In downtown Augsburg, a 49-year-old has been killed by an unknown perpetrator. The man had received a blow from a member of a seven-member group, the police said.
The man was on late Friday evening with his wife and a friendly couple direction Königsplatz on the way. At the central square, they quarreled with the group's seven young men.
Revival unsuccessful
The victim fell through the blow and remained lying on the ground. Even the 50-year-old companion was beaten and injured in the face. The women were not attacked.
After the attack, the perpetrators fled. Emergency physicians tried to resuscitate the local man, but without success. The victim died in ambulance. The police are investigating.
