(ANSAmed) - SARAJEVO, DECEMBER 10 - The first migrant groups left the Vucjak camp in Bihac in the northwest of Bosnia-Herzegovina on the border with Croatia in the afternoon, heading for other safer and more dignified accommodations not far from Sarajevo. In Vucjak, deprived of water, electricity and the most elementary hygienic-sanitary conditions, the situation - also due to the arrival of cold and snow - became unsustainable for the approximately 600 refugees hosted, and the Bosnian authorities, under pressure also from the international community, have announced the closure of the camp which has now become hell. According to local media reports, refugee transfer operations will last for at least three days.
Many are opposed to leaving Vucjak, which is in the border with Croatia, an EU country where they contract to enter to continue the journey.
