(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 10 - Marie Fredriksson, the feminine half of the Islamic pop duo Roxette, died at the age of 61. His management made it known.
Frederiksson formed Roxette with Per Gessle in 1986. The two released their first album the same year to achieve international success in the late 1980s and 1990s.
The artist died Monday "because of the consequences of a long illness". "It is with great regret that we must inform about the disappearance of one of the greatest and most beloved artists", her management agency declared.
