(ANSA) - BARI, DECEMBER 10 - The 'delleecchiecchiette' war ends on the first page of the international edition of the New York Times, as the dispute over the traditional Baroque orecchiette, hand-crafted with echolot inches by the women of Bari Vecchia, has been dubbed.
"In Italy, the crime of pasta", is the title of the report signed by Jason Horowitz that talks about the administrative departments that risk killing the tradition of the Arco Basso pasta makers who have long been an attraction for tourists because they work for the lanes of the ancient Borgo where they display frames and tables with pastafresca. The 'war' concerns the sale of the orecchiette which always starts without a receipt, without indicating the ingredients and whether the goods are traceable. A restaurateur who had purchased orecchiette was in fact fined during a check and this sparked the protest of the pasta makers.
