Marie Fredrickson, the successful Swedish band rocket "Rocket", died after battling a serious illness. She was 61 at the time of her death.
"We are saddened to announce the death of one of our great and beloved singers. Marie Fredrickson died on the morning of December 9 due to illness she had suffered in the past," her family said in a statement to the media.
Fridkson was one of the successful singers in the late 1980s and throughout the 1990s as part of her activities in the Swedish rocket band, which was responsible for dozens of huge hits in the 1990s, including "Listen to Your Heart", "It Must Have Been Love", "The Look "and" Joyride ". After breaking up the band, Fridaxon focused on her solo career and released a fair number of solo albums.
In recent years she suffered from a precarious health condition after falling and being hit in the head and as a result of the tests it became clear that she was suffering from a cancerous tumor. As a result of the illness, the singer dealt with brain damage that accompanied her until her last day.
