Shots were fired in a clinic in the Czech city of Ostrava. According to the police, four people died, two were seriously injured. The shooter is on the run.
The police are therefore with numerous officials and a special task force on site. The background of the act is unclear. Eyewitnesses reported that the shots were fired in the emergency room, according to the media.
The university hospital in the industrial city has about 1200 beds. Ostrava is the third largest city in the Czech Republic with around 290,000 inhabitants and is located on the north-eastern border of the Czech Republic.
