This year the Quirinale crib can be visited and also, in a certain way, you can participate . In the Palazzina Gregoriana a large modern wooden work of different elements and groups of figures is exhibited, created by the sculptors of Val Gardena, in Alto Adige, Filip Moroder Doss and Thomas Comploi. Visitors can enter the crib, which extends for eight meters and reaches a height of almost two and a half meters of the figures, just shaped and stylized. The fulcrum is the sacred family, with the child dressed in gold in a compact block of Joseph and Mary.

Moroder Doss in illustrating the work to the press started the speech in Ladin, "because our root is Ladin," he said. Comploi instead spoke of "an interactive crib. We brought it into the modern, abstracting the faces of the characters: everyone can put whatever they want". The wise men do not have four figures, "who are not kings, but represent the people". The two artists made the work in six months, using lime wood.

For the Quirinale it is the fifth year of the nativity scene on display, in this case within the 'Nativity - The art of the Nativity scene in Val Gardena' exhibition.
