Hesse: Police track fugitive drivers - over 150 kilometers

2019-12-11T06:46:56.627Z

In eastern Hesse, the police pursued a car that had broken a roadblock. A patrol car and two helicopters were used - and it took a while.

On the A4 in East Hesse a motorist near Wildeck (Hersfeld-Rotenburg) is said to have broken a police cordon. Officials took up the chase, assisted by two helicopters. Nevertheless, they had to travel 150 kilometers before they could arrest two inmates in Thuringia near Arnstadt.

Shortly after midnight, the car stopped. For further details, the police were not available in the morning. Previously, several media had reported on the incident.

Only in mid-November had a 30-year-old man fled a police check on the A4. He crashed near the exit Wildeck-Obersuhl with his car in the window of a toy store. Against the man was a warrant for burglary.
