(ANSAmed) - TEL AVIV, DECEMBER 11 - In new elections left-wing parties would do better than the 17 September vote and succeed in winning 60 of the 120 seats in the Knesset. This is one of the results that emerged in a poll published by the commercial television channel Channel 13 while today the parliament is about to vote for the early termination of the legislature and for new elections to be held in March 2020.
If that poll was confirmed, the broadcaster added, Benny Gantz's cental Blue White party would be able to form a minority government, with the external support of the United Arab List. The survey also shows that the majority of Israelis (41 per cent) attributed to Benyamin Netanyahu the responsibility of the current political crisis. If he were replaced by his rival Gideon Saar as leader of the Law, their party would take fewer seats but the right-wing block would be more substantial.
