(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 11 - On the Piazza Fontana massacre "the diffused expectation of truth and justice can no longer be further disregarded". President Roberto Fico said in the Chamber of the House, adding that "the democracy of a country always needs, in order to remain steady, transparency, diversity and justice". Tomorrow will be the 50th anniversary of the massacre at the Banca Nazionale dell'Agricoltura in Milan, which on December 12th 1969 caused 17 deaths and 88 wounded.
"The historical reconstruction - Fico said - has brought back the responsibility of that event to subversive groups, mossoall'intento to promote in Italy an authoritarianattraattraattra through a series of bloody attacks. But half secolonon was not enough to make full clarity even on the judicial floor on guilty of that massacre. This is unacceptable for the victims, for their families, for a democratic state. "
