"There is great music in this square, the temple of music is outdoors today. We are here to talk about love and not hate. We leave hatred for the anonymous of the keyboard". The life senator Liliana Segre said this in Milan, at the end of the mayors' march 'Hate has no future'. "You have a difficult mission and I very much appreciate that for a few hours you wanted to leave your homework for this occasion. Your commitment can be decisive for the transmission of memory". "Tonight there is no indifference, but there is a festive atmosphere, we erase all the words hatred and indifference and embrace each other in a human chain that finds empathy and love in the depths of our being".

The 600 mayors' procession crossed the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II singing the notes of Bella Ciao. At the passage of the procession the people lined up on the sides of the Gallery applauded the Segre, flanked by the mayors of Milan and Pesaro, Giuseppe Sala and Matteo Ricci, shouting his name as a sign of support.
