A Chilean navy ship found human remains and parts of the C-130 military aircraft that disappeared from the radar in the Drake Sea between Monday and Tuesday, while with 38 people aboard it traveled to an Antarctic base. According to the BioBio radio, it would be the remains of at least five passengers and numerous aircraft wrecks.
The find, the issuer specified, was created by the Chilean Navy unit 'Marinero Fuentealba'. In this regard, the administrator of the southern Chilean region of Magallanes, José Fernández, specified that "the remains of the plane and of the people inside it were indeed found", appealing to the media to be respectful with the families of the victims, because there is still a hope of "finding some of the passengers alive".
Meanwhile, via Twitter, in Brazil, President Jair Bolsonaro announced that the Brazilian Navy ship 'Almirante Maximiano' has found "personal objects and wrecks compatible" with the Chilean C-130. This material, the head of state specified, was located about 280 nautical miles (518 kilometers) from Ushuaia, in Argentina
