The Roma Capitale Local Police carried out a preventive seizure against the benches at the Piazza Navona event in Rome, which this year was taking place on the occasion of the Christmas holidays. At the base of the provision there are violations of the safety legislation, with serious risks for workers and visitors. Following the checks, violations of the safety plan of the event emerged which led to the closure of the event with the confiscation of the benches. Reported to the technical manager who had certified its regularity.
During the investigations of the municipal police - which led to the closure of the Christmas market in Piazza Navona in the Capital - various illicit actions were reported on 10 activities. The checks were carried out on 32 banks. In particular, the white helmets noted the failure to comply with European legislation on the approval of 600 toys, placed under sequestration, used as prizes in some traveling showcases.
The structure in the center of the square, destined for recreational activities, was without a fire prevention certificate and fire extinguishers, for which the owner, a 55-year-old Italian woman, was denounced. In total, around 30 thousand euros in penalties were raised.
