One of the heirs of the food company Bahlsen, Alex Bahlsen, is dead. According to information from the "Bild" newspaper, the 61-year-old died in a plane crash in Canada.

According to media reports, Bahlsen crashed his Piper Aerostar on Gabriola Island, an island in southwestern Canada, near the metropolis of Vancouver. He is said to have been on the return journey from Mexico to Canada. It is unclear how many people were next to Bahlsen on board the machine.
