(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 13 - Apple is aiming to improve the iPhone's photo portfolio, already enhanced on the latest model of the device, the iPhone 11. The company has indeed acquired Spectral Edge, a British company specialized in technologies that optimize the quality of the shots . The financial terms of the acquisition, initially referred to by Bloomberg, are not known.
Born in the academic sphere, at the University of East Anglia, Spectral Edge has developed a computational photography technology capable of merging the data captured by a normal lens with those collected by an infrared sensor, in order to improve the yield of the shots.
