The explorers of the ancient Appia, the "queen of the streets". Popes, soldiers, merchants, emperors who, for some Gud boys, left some treasure to find. The voice of the Goddess that in the lines of Eliana Albertini blows in the night between Villa Adriana and Villa d'Este in Tivoli. And again the samurai of Marco Galli at the Oriental Museum of Venice or the "chatter" with the Spugna mammoth at the Aquila MuNDA, up to the Maestro Altan who for the Scaliger Castle of Sirmione in the past recalls the legend of the ghost Ebengardo da 700 years wanders in search of his Arice. Second stop for Comics in museums, the Mibact project realized with Cocoino Press - Fandango and the support of Ales spa, to bring the younger public closer to the art and archeology collections and to the precious places that host them. After the success of the 22 comics of the first edition, awarded in 2018 with the Gran Guinigi as the best editorial initiative of the year at Lucca Comics & Games, the series is now enriched by another 29 books, set in as many Italian museums, to offer a different vision to children and young people of the didactic laboratories, to the sound of tables, cartoons and ballons, until February 16 also in a collective exhibition at the Central Institute for Graphic Design in Rome.

"A way of bringing young people closer to museums. This time, then, alongside very popular realities, we also have less known ones," says the Minister of Cultural Heritage and Tourism, Dario Franceschini. "A path started some time ago. It was not expected we were here for the second stage", he smiles. And that responds "to the lines of this mandate" because if "we did a lot for the heritage that they left us from the past, very little we did instead to make known the creativity of this generation. And here are the works of 51 artists who they are contemporary art ". So next to the Pastime of the clouds of Risuleo and Pronostico at the Archaeological Park of Ostia Antica here is the Naumachia by Luca Negri RSM at the monumental complex of the Pilotta in Parma; bimbo Tito for Marco Corona at the National Museum of Palazzo Massimo in Rome and The eternal gallop of the Bulgarian knights led to the Samnite Museum of Campobasso, for Ratigher, in the double role of author and editorial director Coccoino Press - Fandango. The Central Institute for Graphics "will acquire the boards, giving life to our new collection on the graphic novel", explains director Maria Cristina Misiti. But this time he is also the protagonist of the book designed by Giacomo Nanni that brings together Rome and the Cardinals Lorenzo and Neri Corsini in L'immaginifico sir.

"Combinations sometimes almost 'obligatory', other real bets like Mara Cerri, to his first comic for the Rocca di Gradara - tells Ratigher - Only to Altan we said 'do what you want'. And he, for the occasion, has resumed drawing after not less than 15 years that he only made stories for adults, with the exception of Pimpa, with a very funny story, in which you already laugh at the second page, on the human elements ". Soon also for sale, "Comics in museums - adds Mattia Morandi, among the creators of the project - will have a site and with the Miur will be working on ad hoc thematic routes". A "new third edition" will see the light already "in 2020 and this time - he concludes - will land in Sicily", which being an Autonomous Region has no state museums "but where we will be able to tell archives or institutes".
