(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 14 - Several Iranian filmmakers and artists, including the two-time Oscar-winning director Asghar Farhadi, have circulated a petition in which they denounce the expression of last month's demonstrations in the Islamic Republic, triggered by rising prices dellabenzina. "The images of young people killed, women and men wounded, ladders and desperate fathers are in front of all of us," the signatories of the appeal say. According to Amnesty International, there are at least 208 confirmed deaths. But the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, says that the victims could also be "double". The text of the petition was circulated by Parisa Nazari, president of the Italo-Iranian Cultural Association Alefba, who in collaboration with the Italian Culture eSport Association (Aics) will organize the screening of the documentary film Tales on December 19 at the Casa del Cinema in Rome '(Tales) of Rakhshan Banietemad.
