(ANSA) - BUENOS AIRES, DECEMBER 15 - A British tourist died and his son was seriously injured yesterday in Buenos Aires in an armed robbery in front of a five-star hotel in the city. The man, arriving this morning in the capitaleangian along with his family on a British Airways flight, was about to enter the luxury Faena boutique hotel in the Puerto Madero district, reports the daily Clarin, when he was attacked by armed men riding a motorcycle with accomplices by car. The victim would have tried in vain to put up resistance and the bad guys would therefore have fired. From the reconstruction of the episode provided by the police, it was learned that the tourist, 50 years old, had just come down from a van rented at the international airport of Ezeiza together with his adopted son Stephen, 28, when the two attackers arrived on the motorcycle. At the first hint of resistance, they shot the man in the chest and the son with a thigh. The young person is not in danger of life.
