China, suspended duties on some US goods

(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 15 - China has suspended additional tariffs on some US goods that should have been implemented on December 15, as envisaged by the commercial agreement between the two countries announced last Friday. The fee commission of the Statocinese Council has confirmed this. The Chinese counter-measures to US duties that were supposed to come into force today, December 15th, concerned various goods, from corn to wheat, from vehicles to spare parts for cars manufactured in the United States. Other Chinese tariffs that had already been implemented on US goods would have remained unchanged, the commission said in a statement published on the websites of government departments, including the Chinese Ministry of Finance.
