(ANSA) - NAPLES, DECEMBER 16 - The Naples Court of Assizes of Appeal, accepting the request of General Prosecutor Carmine Esposito, sentenced Cirillo to 30 years (RPT 30) accused of taking part in the murder of Domenico Noviello , the entrepreneur killed by the Casalese stragan delclan wing headed by the boss Giuseppe Setola on 16 May 2008, in Castel Volturno (Caserta), for having announced the extortion attempts.
Cirillo's lawyers, immediately after the verdict, announced the appeal to the Court of Cassation.
Francesco Cirillo was sentenced to 30 years (RPT 30 years) first grade and then acquitted in second grade. The Public Prosecutor's Office made an appeal to the Cassation which referred everything to an alternative sentence by the Court of Assizes of Appeal which today confirmed the 30-year sentence (RPT 30 years) inflicted at first instance.
