Experts from the St. Thomas Research Foundation say they have found conclusive evidence of the location of the biblical site where the angry Moses saw the golden calf built by the children of Israel - and in response smashed the tablets, destroying the calf and killing about 3,000 people of Israel

Biblical scholars believe they found the site where Moses smashed the Tablets after noticing the people of Israel celebrating around the golden calf. Experts from the St. Thomas Research Foundation (DTRF) presented evidence pointing to where this all happened, with their new findings being added to ongoing research on finding the true location of Biblical Mount Sinai. In their study, researchers found evidence that Mount Sinai is Jabal al-Lwez, also called the Almond Mountain, in Saudi Arabia, near the Jordan border. They are now reinforcing the claims when a site near the foot of the mountain seems to them to be the perfect place to build the golden calf - and if that is not enough, calf-engraved paintings were found on a number of boulders instead.

According to the biblical story in the book of Exodus chapter 12, Moses ascended Mount Sinai for 40 days after receiving the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai - to receive the Lord's Torah, and testimony boards. When he returned to the camp, he found his people celebrating and working for the golden calf. - "and Ira Ham Ci-Bss Moses descend Mn-Hhr and Ikhl Ham upon-Aaron, and they said goddess kumi Ash-Asr god to us will go Lfnino Ci-this one Moses Hais Asr Halno land of Egypt shall not Idano mae-upon a time to him. And do you say this, why do you call me this time in your homes and you and me? And all the people of the people are golden in their places and they are in the air. And how about, And there is a wilderness here before him, and there will be a morning and a half, after another. And there are high-cost and high-cost and fully-equipped and fully equipped rooms

While Moses was on the mountain and received the covenants, God sent him down from the mountain to the people: "L-rd - ki Shechat Am Amach" (Exodus 12: 7). When Moses came down from the mountain, he found the people celebrating and working a calf. In his anger he broke the tablets at the bottom of the mountain, then God thanked him for it, then the punishment for the calf workers began, Moshe burned the calf and ground it, sprinkled its ashes on the water and watered the Israelites in that water. Bnei Levi, who did not work in a calf, ordered them to kill all those who worked in the calf, killing 3,000 people, with an unknown number dying in the plague, as well as drinking water.

The experts say they found a potential site that they found in Saudi Arabia matches the biblical story. Ryan Mauro and his researchers said they found evidence of the "high platform" on which the golden calf was placed. It appears to be a rectangular rock found on an elevated platform near the site, which was constructed artificially - presumably by men - and conforms to the descriptions of the sacrifices from that time period, angled to allow "blood to drain from the side."

Mauro and his team also found numerous bull etchings on the site around the suspected area. They wrote: "What is significant about this site is its size, its remote location and its almost unique focus on the bull. The structure is high and visually impressive. Clearly there is a strong sympathy for the bulls. However, the petroglyphs (engraved paintings on the rock) are limited to this remote site."

It is also claimed that the bull's engravings also included horns similar to those of the Egyptian bull god Apis. The team claims that this implies the influence of ancient Egypt on who then lived in the region. There are about a dozen bullfighting groups in the place. In one of the pictures, Nitzan sees Mauro being photographed against one of the groups - when what looks like a man worshiping one of the bulls has returned.

However, the team acknowledges that they have not yet found evidence of the existence of gold, although the group of researchers noted that there is a strong local tradition whereby gold was buried at the site in the past. They write: "There is no absolute proof of gold right now, but the equipment needed to find it has not been brought to the site since the 1980s." They added: "The local Saudi tradition says gold is buried under the golden calf's worship site - and closer to the foot of the mountain. There is a deep pit with a ladder at the bottom of the mountain where local Saudis claim to have hidden gold. There to search for gold and treasures. "

Historians, archaeologists and Egyptians are in agreement that the Exodus event did not occur as described in the Bible. There has never been any evidence that the Israelites were enslaved in ancient Egypt - and the question was also asked whether Moshe's image even existed. Jabel Al-Leves was previously proposed as a potential candidate for the original Mount Sinai, but this claim has been criticized by historians. DTRF experts set up a Chinese project in Saudi Arabia to encourage Saudi authorities to preserve these sites for further investigation. In the meantime, the area is bounded by fences set up by the Saudi authorities, designed to protect the site of historic importance.
