Love hot dogs? A senior chef reveals 3 common mistakes in making sausages

In a video storm on the net - is a bun hot dog considered a sandwich or not?

How complicated is it to make hot dogs? Well according to food expert Jeff Baker, who among other things fed the British royal house, we all make 3 critical mistakes when making sausages. Beyond that, he agreed to expose his method of cooking hot dogs and goes against the claim that hot dogs are junk food. The chef, who has more than three decades of experience in professional kitchens, recommends cooking hot dogs filled with quality meat and natural skin. According to him, the best method for making sausage, as revealed to the Daily Star, is this:

1. Remove the sausages from the refrigerator 20 minutes before cooking - this will help the sausage cook evenly and prevent the skin from splitting when the sausage is in contact with the heat.

2. Place pan on fire - Use a non-stick skillet and place it on low to medium heat.

3. Add a teaspoon of duck or goose fat to the pan - swirl well until the base is fully coated and then remove the excess fat.

4. Place the sausages in the pan - make sure they are not touching each other and maintain a constant heat. Make them on a regular basis to ensure they get a rich golden color. Jeff recommends 10 to 12 minutes of frying for traditional thick sausage.

5. Let the sausage cool before serving - after cooking, the sausage will be too hot to the touch, with an internal temperature of 70 degrees. The secret is to let the sausages cool for a few minutes to make them soft and chewy.

The mistakes you must not make

Where do we get goose fat now? And why should we extend the method of preparation if it tastes that way even less effortless? So true, some of you would probably prefer not to change his cooking method - however, the chef insists that even if you are satisfied today, there are 3 common mistakes that he would definitely recommend avoiding:

1. Cutting sausage slots to help them cook is a mistake, especially when it comes to quality hot dogs. This can cause the juices to run away and eventually leave them with dry and tasteless hot dogs.

2. Never fry sausages in deep oil. Doing so can make the skin hard and the sausage dry.

3. Don't bake your hot dogs! Although this sounds like the healthy option, the chef claims that it certainly does not provide the taste experience obtained in frying.

enjoy your meal!
