Nancy and Frank Sinatra had been a couple since their teenage years. When he got divorced, the ex-wife had some valuable things that were now auctioned in Beverly Hills.

Nancy Sinatra, née Barbato, died in July 2018 at the age of 101. She survived her ex-husband, the legendary entertainer Frank Sinatra, by two decades. The couple were married from 1939 to 1951 - then Sinatra succumbed to the charm of his fellow actor Ava Gardner.

During the divorce, Nancy received a Cadillac, the common house, custody of the three children and part of the income of her famous ex-husband. A lot of things remained in their possession - around 600 of them have now been auctioned in Beverly Hills, California.

A Steinway grand piano acquired by Frank Sinatra in 1949 fetched more than $ 106,000 at the auction. It had previously been valued at $ 40,000, according to Julien's Auctions. Music greats such as Nat King Cole, Sammy Cahn, Milton Berle and Michael Feinstein would have played on it in the house of Frank and Nancy Sinatra in Los Angeles.

The collection that was now sold also included furniture, jewelry, works of art and other souvenirs that the couple had collected.

Former secretary Nancy had met the singer at the age of 17 and had supported him from the very beginning of his career. The couple had three children. Frank Sinatra (1915-1998) was successful as a singer and actor worldwide. He was married four times.
